The DfE have reinforced the need to “create and reinforce a clear and rigorous expectation on all schools to promote the fundamental British values”.
The DfE says that the government’s five part definition of ‘British Values’ are as follows:
- Tolerance of those of different faiths and beliefs
- Democracy
- The rule of law
- Mutual respect
- Individual liberty
