Attendance Matters

At our school, we believe that every day counts. Good attendance is one of the most important factors in helping children achieve their full potential, both academically and socially.

Children who attend school regularly are more likely to:

  • Make strong progress in reading, writing and maths
  • Build confidence and friendships
  • Develop positive routines and good habits
  • Feel part of the school community
  • Enjoy learning and new experiences

Even missing a small amount of school can have an impact on a child’s learning. Lessons build on previous knowledge, and regular absences can make it harder for children to keep up with their classmates.

We understand that children may occasionally be absent due to illness or exceptional circumstances, but we encourage families to make every effort to ensure children attend school every day and arrive on time.

Working together, we can help every child:

  • Feel happy and secure in school
  • Reach their full potential
  • Develop lifelong skills and positive attitudes towards learning

Why Every Day Matters

  • 90% attendance means a child misses around 1 day every 2 weeks.
  • Missing school regularly can affect confidence, friendships and achievement.
  • Good attendance helps children feel settled, successful and ready to learn.

Thank you for supporting your child’s education and helping them make the most of every school day.
